This 200ml bottle treats 1000 litres of heating oil.

A specialist fuel additive designed to improve the burn quality of domestic kerosene when used in range-style cookers and boilers and/or where vaporising burners are being utilised.

Although the Char Value of domestic kerosene (BS2869:C2) has an upper limit of 20mg/kg, field experience since 2008 indicates that for numerous reasons fuel is actually being supplied with Char Values in the range 16-30mg/kg. The situation is not improving and is having a serious negative impact on the performance of range cookers (e.g. AGAs, Rayburns, Waterford-Stanleys, etc), where carbon build-up around the burner is now commonplace. This results is variable heat output and poor controllability. Exocet Cooker Additive acts to reduce the Char Value of the fuel, improving its combustion performance and maintaining a clean burner for longer.

The additives are supplied in bottles containing 200ml additive present and treat 1000 litres of heating oil. They are suitable for batch treatment in tanks (e.g. bottle dosing and splash blending). It is preferable to empty the additive in to the storage tanks before adding heating oil on top (promotes mixing), however mixing will still occur after a few days if added to an existing full tank.
